Solar Dragon's live in the underbrush of the rainforest. They're nocturnal and thrive off of ambush to catch their prey. The glossy dark spikes on their back gather sunlight while they sleep during the day and at night the gems in their sides that store the heat can be seen glowing if they gather enough.
The purpose of these glowing gems is to attract a mate and to lend to camouflage in the treetops where they hide to drop down on their prey. From a distance these glowing spots appear to be stars.
These dragons are not territorial and are very reclusive and timid.
Truly wonderful work!
